Alan N. Herzfeld's primary practice areas are estate taxation and planning, probate and probate/trust disputes. He serves Northern California, San Franciscio, Oakland and San Jose clients.

A San Francisco native (Lowell), Alan's undergraduate degree is from the University of California at San Diego in Political Science/Public Law and History, and he received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law (Boston, 2009). Alan is currently completing an LL.M. in Taxation at Golden Gate University.

Alan's background includes work with the Judicial Council of California, California Appellate Project, Boston Juvenile Court, Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action, UCSD Office of Government and Community Relations, and the Alameda County Social Services Agency's Office of Agency Planning.
